What’s wrong with it?
If the door latch assembly becomes permanently locked while closed occupants could be prevented from exiting the vehicle in the event of a crash or fire, increasing the risk of injury.
PACCAR Inc. is recalling certain model year 2013-2014 Kenworth T680 chassis manufactured January 1, 2012, through October 14, 2013, and Peterbilt 567 and 579 chassis manufactured January 20, 2012, through October 11, 2013, and equipped with Inteva-brand door latch assemblies.
In the affected vehicles, the doors may lock permanently while closed or may be opened from the outside even after they have been locked.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
