The short answer

NHTSA received Omix Ada, Inc’s report on Sep 10, 2014. Copied from NHTSA on Oct 20, 2026.

Every line below is in NHTSA’s own words, with its source beside it.

What’s wrong with it?

If the floor mats move forward unintentionally, they can interfere with the movement of the accelerator pedal, preventing its return to an idle position, which could result in unintended vehicle speeds, increasing the risk of a crash.

Omix Ada, Inc.

(Omix Ada) is recalling certain Rugged Ridge All Terrain floor mats, Cabela’s Custom-Fit floor mats, Line-X Truck Gear floor mats, and Tread Lightly aftermarket floor mats manufactured November 1, 2009, to August 27, 2014, for aftermarket use in Chevrolet and GMC full size trucks and SUV’s.

The affected floor mats may move forward unintentionally.

What the record doesn’t say

  • NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
  • Which ones, by part or lot: the recall’s report on NHTSA’s site gives them where the maker did; this file gives part numbers only where its maker listed them.
  • How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
