The short answer

NHTSA received Agility Fuel Systems’s report on Aug 26, 2014. Copied from NHTSA on Oct 20, 2026.

Every line below is in NHTSA’s own words, with its source beside it.

What’s wrong with it?

If the corrosion progresses and goes undetected, the hose could begin to leak CNG, increasing the risk of a fire in the presence of an ignition source.

Agility Fuel Systems (Agility) is recalling certain model Side-Mount compressed natural gas (CNG) Fuel Systems, Part No. 23736011, manufactured August 1, 2013, to August 21, 2014 and equipped with Motion Industries T1700-06 flexible fuel hoses.

The stainless steel braid reinforcement may corrode prematurely near the fitting crimp inside the slave tank enclosure.

What the record doesn’t say

  • NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
  • Which ones, by part or lot: the recall’s report on NHTSA’s site gives them where the maker did; this file gives part numbers only where its maker listed them.
  • How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
