What’s wrong with it?
An unexpected loss of power transfer may increase the risk of a crash.
Aisin World Corp. of America (Aisin) is recalling certain model A465 automatic transmissions produced for Isuzu Motors Limited and model A466 automatic transmissions produced for the Chrysler Group.
Due to a loose snap ring inside the transmission, there may be a loss of power transfer through the transmission to the wheels.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Which ones, by part or lot: the recall’s report on NHTSA’s site gives them where the maker did; this file gives part numbers only where its maker listed them.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
