What’s wrong with it?
This may cause a loss of steering, increasing the risk of a crash.
Newmar Corporation (Newmar) is recalling certain model year 2013-2014 motorhomes manufactured October 15, 2012, through June 20, 2013.
In the affected vehicles, the castle nuts for the steering linkage ball joint fasteners, which mount to bell cranks, may be loose.
If the castle nuts become completely loose, the steering linkage may separate from the bell cranks without warning.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
