What’s wrong with it?
If the springs break, the pedal may not return to idle once the driver lifts their foot off the pedal. This unintended acceleration increases the risk of a crash.
Prevost is recalling certain model year 2009-2010 H3-45 and model year 2009 H3-41, X3-45, XLII Converted Coach Shells and XLII-45 Entertainer Converted coach and model year 2008 H3-VIP coach shells.
The mechanical springs used to return the accelerator pedal to idle after the driver lifts their foot off the pedal may break.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
