What’s wrong with it?
As a result, the vehicle’s suspension section may become separated during the repositioning procedure and cause injury to those in close proximity to the vehicle. Additionally, the parts may separate from the vehicle and fall onto the roadway while the vehicle is in operation, which could result in serious injury to other motorists or property damage to other vehicles.
Cheetah Chassis Corporation (Cheetah) is recalling certain model year 2010-2014 20-40 Maximizer trailers manufactured September 14, 2009, through October 3, 2013.
In the affected trailers, the weld joining the locator pin’s shaft and collar may fail leading to a separation of the locating pin’s shaft and collar.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
