Every line below is in NHTSA’s own words, with its source beside it.
What’s wrong with it?
Tire overinflation may reduce traction, braking ability and handling, increasing the the risk of a crash.
Prevost Cars, Inc.
(Prevost) is recalling certain model year 2013 X3-45, 2012-2014 H3-45, 2008 H3-45 VIP, 2005 XL2, and 2006-2011 XL2-45 Entertainer buses equipped with super single tires.
The cold inflation pressure shown on the certification plate is higher than the specification for the super single tires installed on the rear axle, which may lead to tire overinflation.
Thus, these vehicles fail to conform to the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard Part 567, “Certification Regulation.”

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
