What’s wrong with it?
In the event of a crash, the metal ceiling panel may separate from the interior compartment structure, increasing the risk of injury to a passenger.
Corporation Micro Bird, Inc.
(Micro Bird) is recalling certain model year 2013 G5 school buses manufactured from April 29, 2013, through July 4, 2013.
The joint in the metal ceiling panel may not have been glued properly, thus the buses fail to conform to the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 221, “School Bus Body Joint Strength.”

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
