Every line below is in NHTSA’s own words, with its source beside it.
What’s wrong with it?
Ungoverned speed, missing rear reflectors and an incorrect GVWR all increase the risk of a crash.
Oreion Motors LLC (Oreion) is recalling certain model year 2011-2013 Reeper low speed vehicles.
The affected vehicles may exceed the maximum permitted speed of 25 mph.
Also, the vehicles are not equipped with red reflectors on the rear of the vehicle.
Thus, these vehicles fail to conform to the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 500, “Low Speed Vehicles.” Additionally, the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of the vehicle was incorrectly listed on the certification label which is a violation of Part 567, “Certification.”

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
