The short answer
NHTSA received Morgan 3 Wheeler Limited’s report on Jul 16, 2013. Copied from NHTSA on Oct 20, 2026.
Every line below is in NHTSA’s own words, with its source beside it.
What’s wrong with it?
The operator may not be warned of the brake fluid reservoir filling requirements, which may result in a reduction of brake performance, increasing the risk of a crash.
Morgan 3 Wheeler Limited (Morgan) is recalling certain model year 2012-2013 three-wheeled motorcycles manufactured between October 2012 and July 2013.
The brake fluid reservoir does not have a brake fluid reservoir filling warning statement.
Thus, these vehicles fail to conform to the requirement of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 122, “Motorcycle Brake Systems.”

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
