The short answer
NHTSA received Starcraft RV, Inc.’s report on Jun 28, 2013. Copied from NHTSA on Oct 20, 2026.
Every line below is in NHTSA’s own words, with its source beside it.
What’s wrong with it?
The vehicle could be loaded with the incorrect amount of cargo resulting in overloading of the tires which may lead to tire failure, increasing the risk of a crash.
Starcraft is recalling certain model year 2014 Launch Ultra Light travel trailers manufactured April 1, 2013, through April 10, 2013.
An incorrect cargo carrying capacity is printed on the RV Trailer Cargo Carrying Capacity Label and the Tire and Loading Information Placard.
Thus, the trailers fail to conform to the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 110, “Tire Selection and Rims for Passenger Cars.”

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
