What’s wrong with it?
Without the guide, the cables may move freely and become trapped in the steering stop, impeding the steering operation and affecting the driver’s ability to control the motorcycle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Triumph Motorcycles (Triumph) is recalling certain model year 2012 Street Triple motorcycles manufactured from June 2012 through November 2012; and model year 2012 Daytona 675 motorcycles manufactured July 2012 through October 2012.
The motorcycles may have been assembled without a guide for the throttle cables.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
