What’s wrong with it?
The overheating of the switch may lead to a fire or distract the driver and increase the risk of a vehicle crash.
North American Bus Industries (NABI) is recalling certain model year 2008-2013 416 and model year 2012 31LFW transit buses manufactured October 30, 2008, through April 3, 2013 and equipped with a four-position rotary defroster switch with ring terminals.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
