What’s wrong with it?
Separation of a wheel hub from an axle may increase the risk of a crash.
Navistar is recalling certain model year 2013 International ProStar commercial trucks, manufactured from January 24, 2012, through January 2, 2013, with feature codes 29AEB and 29AEC (Preset Plus hubs).
The axle bearing retaining nut lock snap ring may have not been installed or may have been installed incorrectly which may result in the retainer nut working loose and possibly separating the wheel hub from the axle.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
