What’s wrong with it?
Uncontrollable throttle position may lead to a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.
Prevost is recalling certain model year 2008-2013 X3-45, H3-41 and H3-45 coaches, model year 2011-2013 H3-45 VIP coaches, model year 2012-2013 X3-45 VIP coaches, and model year 2009-2013 XLII-45 Entertainer coaches manufactured from May 16, 2007, through March 14, 2013 and equipped with Volvo engines.
Certain conditions may cause the affected coaches to go into a software mode that would result in the throttle signal being fixed at 1700rpms regardless of throttle pedal input from the driver.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
