The short answer

NHTSA received WILSON TRAILER COMPANY’s report on Jan 30, 2013. Copied from NHTSA on Oct 20, 2026.

Every line below is in NHTSA’s own words, with its source beside it.

What’s wrong with it?

Failure of these guides to provide containment could allow the lift deck to shift to one side causing the deck to fall past the permanent deck support rails, increasing the risk of damage to property inside the trailer.

Wilson Trailer Company (Wilson Trailer) is recalling certain model year 2007-2013 livestock trailers manufactured from January 2, 2007, through November 30, 2012, and equipped with a lift deck in the nose compartment.

The plastic deck guides on the lift deck in the nose compartment can fail to provide proper tracking of the deck when it is raised and lowered.

What the record doesn’t say

  • NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
  • Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
  • This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
  • How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
