The short answer

NHTSA received Stoughton Trailers, LLC’s report on Jan 24, 2013. Copied from NHTSA on Oct 24, 2026.

Every line below is in NHTSA’s own words, with its source beside it.

What’s wrong with it?

Structural cracks could eventually compromise the structure and lead to failure. This could result in a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Stoughton Trailers is recalling certain model year 2009-2011 AHV grain hauler/ag hopper trailers produced December 17, 2007, through October 28, 2010.

These trailers may develop fatigue cracks in the lower rail of the frame structure and/or in the front attachment of the suspension subframe channels.

What the record doesn’t say

  • NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
  • Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
  • This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
  • How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
