Every line below is in NHTSA’s own words, with its source beside it.
What’s wrong with it?
If there is interference, the pedal may not return to the idle position which may produce unintended acceleration. This could increase the risk of a vehicle crash.
Braun is recalling certain model year 2011-2013 Rampvan vehicles manufactured from May 8, 2012, through January 3, 2013.
Braun Rampvans are Toyota Sienna minivans that have been modified for special use.
The Braun-specific toe pan panel comes in close proximity to the accelerator pedal lever.
There could be an interference of the toe panel pan and the accelerator pedal lever.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
