What’s wrong with it?
An electrical short circuit may result in a vehicle fire.
Thermo King is recalling certain T-Series (Model T570R, T600, T600R, T800, T800R, T1000, T1000R, T1000 Spectrum) and V-Series (Model 200, 300, 520) temperature control units, manufactured from January 2009 through February 2013 and equipped with the electric standby option.
Water may intrude into the unit through an improperly sized connector/seal.
This may cause corrosion near the electrical terminals, resulting in an electrical short circuit.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Which ones, by part or lot: the recall’s report on NHTSA’s site gives them where the maker did; this file gives part numbers only where its maker listed them.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
