What’s wrong with it?
The ejected valve could strike another vehicle and cause personal injury or a vehicle crash. The release of gas near an ignition source could also lead to a vehicle fire.
Emerson Process Management Regulator Technologies, Inc.
(Emerson) is recalling certain Fisher-branded H732 and H832 pressure relief valves, manufactured January 2003, through January 2013, used in cargo tank trailers.
The stem of the valve may break, resulting in separation.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Which ones, by part or lot: the recall’s report on NHTSA’s site gives them where the maker did; this file gives part numbers only where its maker listed them.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
