What’s wrong with it?
If the door separates from the APU while the vehicle is being driven, it may create a road hazard for other drivers.
Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) is recalling certain model year 2012 Cascadia and Coronado tractor trailers manufactured from August 1, 2011, through December 30, 2011, equipped with Thermo King TriPac Auxiliary Power Units (APU), serial numbers 3000106335 to 3000127584, manufactured from July 29, 2011, through November 7, 2011.
The maintenance access panel door on the bottom of the APU may dislodge and separate.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
