What’s wrong with it?

The step may collapse during use potentially causing personal injury.

Fleetwood RV is recalling certain model year 2010 and 2011 Encounter vehicles manufactured from November 19, 2009, through May 13, 2010; 2011-2013 Storm vehicles manufactured from May 21, 2010, through September 18, 2012; and 2012 Terra vehicles manufactured from April 26, 2011, through March 13, 2012.

The entry step to the motorhome lacks sufficient support and may become damaged by repeated use.

What the record doesn’t say

  • NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
  • Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
  • This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
  • How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
