Every line below is in NHTSA’s own words, with its source beside it.
What’s wrong with it?
Without an audible warning that the vehicle is in a rearward rollaway situation, there is an increased risk that the vehicle may hit a pedestrian or another vehicle.
Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain model year 2010-2013 Xpeditor heavy-duty class 8 vehicles, manufactured from September 10, 2010, through September 10, 2012, equipped with a vehicle rearward rollaway alarm.
The motion sensor for the alarm may not have been installed correctly and the alarm may fail to sound when the vehicle is out of gear and in a rearward rollaway situation.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
