What’s wrong with it?
Floor mat interference with the throttle pedal could prevent the throttle pedal from retracting to its normal position, increasing stopping distances and the risk of a crash.
Utilimaster is recalling certain model year 2012 Reach vehicles manufactured from December 6, 2011, through August 14, 2012.
The adhesive used to attach the floor mat to the floor in front of the driver’s seat may deteriorate allowing the floor mat to separate from the floor.
An unsecured floor mat could interfere with the throttle pedal.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
