What’s wrong with it?
RELYING ON THE A MISPRINTED LABEL COULD LEAD TO IMPROPER VEHICLE LOADING SPECIFICATIONS OR TIRE INFLATION WHICH COULD RESULT IN A TIRE FAILURE, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
JAYCO IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2012 JAY FLIGHT BUNGALOW TRAVEL TRAILERS, MANUFACTURED FROM MARCH 19, 2012, THROUGH MARCH 27, 2012.
THE LOAD RANGE AND THE COLD TIRE INFLATION PRESSURE ON THESE TRAILERS ARE INCORRECTLY IDENTIFIED.
THUS, THESE VEHICLES FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 120, TIRE SELECTION AND RIMS FOR MOTOR VEHICLES OTHER THAN PASSENGER CARS.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
