What’s wrong with it?
THIS COULD RESULT IN ASPHYXIATION OR CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING. THE HEAT BUILD UP FROM THE EXHAUST CAN ALSO RESULT IN A FIRE.
DUTCHMEN IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2011-2012 RUBICON TRAVEL TRAILERS MANUFACTURED FROM DECEMBER 8, 2010, THROUGH JULY 15, 2011.
THESE VEHICLES MAY HAVE BEEN MANUFACTURED WITH THE EXTERIOR FURNACE VENT NOT INSTALLED IN THE SIDEWALL OF THE TRAILER.
THE FURNACE CAN RUN WITHOUT THE PROPER EXHAUST VENTILATION AND RELEASE CARBON MONOXIDE TO THE INTERIOR OF THE UNIT.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
