What’s wrong with it?
LEAKAGE OF BRAKE FLUID AND/OR THE PRESENCE OF AIR IN BRAKE LINES MAY CAUSE THE BRAKES TO NOT OPERATE AS INTENDED INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
METAL FABRICATION HAS NOTIFIED NHTSA OF A DEFECT IN CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2010 BOAT TRAILERS EQUIPPED WITH BRAKE SYSTEMS MANUFACTURED BETWEEN AUGUST 11, 2009 AND JANUARY 26, 2010 DESIGNED TO HAUL RECREATIONAL BOATS.
THE BRAKE ACTUATOR ON THE TONGUE OF THE TRAILER CAN HAVE A MISALIGNED BRAKE SOLENOID.
IF THE SOLENOID IS MIS-ALIGNED, THEN THERE IS POTENTIAL FOR INTERFERENCE BETWEEN THE SOLENOID AND THE ACTUATOR HOUSING.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
