What’s wrong with it?
A REDUCTION IN BRAKING OR INTERFERENCE WITH THE THROTTLE PEDAL COULD RESULT IN A VEHICLE CRASH.
JAYCO IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2010 INSIGNIA MOTOR HOMES BUILT ON FREIGHTLINER CHASSIS MANUFACTURED BETWEEN OCTOBER 14, 2009 AND JANUARY 15, 2010 WITH KONGSBERG POWER PRODUCTS SYSTEMS ADJUSTABLE BRAKE PEDALS.
THE DRIVE PIN WHICH SECURES THE BRAKE PEDAL ARM TO THE BALANCE OF THE ASSEMBLY MAY BECOME DISENGAGED, THIS MAY CAUSE A REDUCTION IN VEHICLE BRAKING AND/OR CAUSE THE BRAKE PEDAL TO MOVE OUT OF POSITION AND INTERFERE WITH THROTTLE PEDAL FUNCTION.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
