What’s wrong with it?
IF THE DRIVER IGNORES THESE WARNINGS AND CONTINUES TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE, AND IF THERE WAS A CONTINUED LOSS OF PRESSURE, THE REAR SPRING PARKING BRAKES WOULD AUTOMATICALLY APPLY, PREVENTING THE TRUCK FROM BEING DRIVEN.
GM IS RECALLING 1,880 MODEL YEAR 2007 CHEVROLET KODIAK AND T-SERIES, GMC TOPKICK AND T-SERIES, AND ISUZU F-SERIES AND H-SERIES PASSENGER VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH 7.8L DIESEL ENGINE.
THE AIR COMPRESSOR IN SOME OF THESE VEHICLES MAY NOT BUILD ENOUGH AIR PRESSURE TO SUPPORT THE AIR BRAKE SYSTEM.
IF THIS CONDITION WERE TO OCCUR WHILE THE VEHICLES WAS STATIONARY (BRAKES APPLIED), THE AIR BRAKES WOULD REMAIN APPLIED AND PREVENT THE VEHICLE FROM MOVING.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
