The short answer

NHTSA received MONACO COACH CORPORATION’s report on Jul 3, 2008. Copied from NHTSA on Oct 20, 2026.

Every line below is in NHTSA’s own words, with its source beside it.

What’s wrong with it?

IF THE LP LINE WAS TO LEAK AND A SPARK OCCURS, THIS COULD LEAD A FIRE OR EXPLOSION.

MONACO IS RECALLING 152 MY 2006-2008 HOLIDAY RAMBLER ARISTA, ATLANTIS, AND SAFARI PASSAGE AND IVORY MOTOR HOMES.

THERE IS AN ERROR IN THE ROUTING OF THE LIQUID PROPANE (LP) LINE FROM BELOW AND THROUGH THE MAIN FLOOR AND THE SLIDE-OUT FLOOR.

THE LP LINE CAN BECOME ENTANGLED WITH THE 12 VOLT AND 120 VOLT WIRING WHICH COULD CAUSE THE HOSE TO KINK AND/OR BECOME DAMAGED WHICH COULD LEAD TO AN LP LEAK.

What the record doesn’t say

  • NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
  • Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
  • This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
  • How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
