What’s wrong with it?
REDUCED VEHICLE BRAKING COULD LEAD TO A CRASH.
ON CERTAIN HEAVY DUTY TRUCKS BUILT WITH SISU FR2P-21, SISU FR2P-26, SISU FR3P-33, OR SISU FR3P-48 REAR AXLES, A COUNTER-BORE MACHINED IN BOTH ENDS OF THE WORM WHEEL OPENING OF THE SLACK ADJUSTER HOUSING REDUCES MATERIAL THICKNESS BETWEEN THE WORM WHEEL OPENING AND THE WORM SHAFT OPENING.
UNDER NORMAL SERVICE A CRACK MAY DEVELOP IN THIS AREA RENDERING THE SLACK ADJUSTER INOPERABLE AND REDUCING BRAKE EFFECTIVENESS.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
