What’s wrong with it?
IF THE CRACKS SHOULD PROPAGATE WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN ROAD USE, IT IS POSSIBLE THAT DEBRIS FROM THE BRIDGE AXLE OR ADJACENT VEHICLE PARTS COULD BE DEPOSITED IN THE ROADWAY, POSSIBLY RESULTING IN A VEHICLE CRASH.
CERTAIN TRUCK BRIDGE AXLES MANUFACTURED BY HENDRICKSON BETWEEN SEPTEMBER 7, 2006, AND APRIL 25, 2007, INSTALLED AS ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT AS SUBASSEMBLY COMPONENTS OF AUXILIARY TAG AXLE SUSPENSION SYSTEMS FOR MCNEILUS (OSHKOSH) 2006 AND 2007 BRIDGEMASTER V MODEL CONCRETE MIXER TRUCKS WITH SERIAL NUMBERS HUAX97188 THROUGH HUAX108905.
DUE TO INADEQUATE TEMPERING IN THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS, THE COMPONENT END CASTINGS CAN CRACK.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Which ones, by part or lot: the recall’s report on NHTSA’s site gives them where the maker did; this file gives part numbers only where its maker listed them.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
