What’s wrong with it?
DRIVERS WOULD NOT BE WARNED OF BRAKE SYSTEM FAILURES.
CERTAIN MOTOR HOMES BUILT ON WORKHORSE CHASSIS AND EQUIPPED WITH ACTIA CORPORATE INSTRUMENT CLUSTERS FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD (FMVSS)NOS. 101 “CONTROLS AND DISPLAYS” AND NO. 105 “HYDRAULIC AND ELECTRIC BRAKE SYSTEMS.” THE INCORRECT SOFTWARE PROGRAMMED INTO THE INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER SUCH THAT CERTAIN DRIVER WARNINGS REQUIRED BY FMVSS 101 AND 105 ARE NOT DISPLAYED.
AS A RESULT OF THIS INCORRECT SOFTWARE, THE INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER MAY FAIL TO ILLUMINATE WARNING LAMPS INDICATING BRAKE SYSTEM FAILURE CODES.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
