What’s wrong with it?
LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE MAY OCCUR, WHICH COULD RESULT IN A CRASH.
ON CERTAIN CLASS A MOTOR HOMES BUILT WITH CUMMINS ISX 600 HP ENGINES, THE STRAPS THAT HOLD THE U-JOINTS ONTO THE REAR END AND THE TRANSMISSION CAN LOOSEN.
THE LOCK WASHER ON THE STRAPS CAN SPREAD OUT AND ALLOW THE MOUNTING BOLTS TO WORK LOOSE.
THIS CAN ALLOW THE DRIVELINE TO SEPARATE FROM THE TRANSMISSION AND FALL OFF THE MOTOR HOME.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
