What’s wrong with it?
SHOULD THE WHEEL BREAK WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN USE, A VEHICLE CRASH COULD OCCUR, POSSIBLY RESULTING IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.
CERTAIN JCA CHINA 16” CHROMIUM PLATED WELDED WHEELS, EITHER 6 LUG OR 8 LUG, THAT CONTAIN THE RIM STAMP OF ‘JG’ OR ‘HW’.
DUE TO POOR WELD QUALITY AND INSUFFICIENT PRESS FIT BETWEEN THE RIM AND THE DISC, THE CENTER OF THE WHEEL COULD SEPARATE FROM THE RIM.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Which ones, by part or lot: the recall’s report on NHTSA’s site gives them where the maker did; this file gives part numbers only where its maker listed them.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
