What’s wrong with it?
IN SOME CRASH CONDITIONS, INCORRECT INSTALLATION COULD ALLOW THE DRIVER AND/OR PASSENGER SEAT PEDESTAL/FRAME TO BECOME LOOSE, WHICH COULD RESULT IN DEATH OR INJURY TO THE SEAT OCCUPANT.
CERTAIN MOTORHOMES FAIL TO COMPLY WITH FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NOS. 207, “SEATING SYSTEMS” AND 210, “SEAT BET ASSEMBLY ANCHORAGES.” THE BOLT AND LOCK NUT CONNECTING THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SEATS TO THE SLIDE TRACK WERE NOT INSTALLED CORRECTLY.
INCORRECT HARDWARE WAS ALSO USED TO SECURE THE SEAT PEDESTAL TO THE FLOOR MOUNTS.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
