CERTAIN FEDERAL-MOGUL MECHANICAL FUEL PUMPS SOLD FOR USE AS AFTERMARKET EQUIPMENT ON NUMEROUS APPLICATIONS PACKAGED AS EITHER CARTER FUEL DELIVERY PRODUCTS, CARTER ACCUFLOW, NAPA FUEL PUMPS, OR NAPA TRUFLOW.

THE LACK OF PROPER THREAD DEPTH IN THE MECHANICAL FUEL PUMP’S FLARED FITTING WILL CAUSE IMPROPER SEAL AND THUS THE POTENTIAL FOR FUEL LEAKING FROM THE FITTING.

FEDERAL-MOGUL PAY FOR INSPECTION WILL REPLACE THE FUEL PUMP FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN DURING DECEMBER 2004. OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT FEDERAL-MOGUL AT 674-735-0241.
