What’s wrong with it?
IF THE SEAT STARTED A ROCKING MOTION WHILE THE CUSTOMER WAS DRIVING, IT COULD POSE A SAFETY RISK TO THE DRIVER AS WELL AS OTHER VEHICLES AND COULD RESULT IN DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE OR PROPERTY, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
ON CERTAIN MODEL PASSENGER VEHICLES, AS A RESULT OF IMPROPER WELDING OF THE SEAT RAIL ASSEMBLIES, ONE SIDE OF THE SEAT MAY NOT FULLY LOCK INTO THE SET POSITION.
UNDER EXTREME ACCELERATION OR DEACCELERATION CONDITIONS, THIS COULD CAUSE A ROCKING MOTION OF THE SEAT.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
