What’s wrong with it?
THE FAILURE OF THE WINDSHIELD WIPER SYSTEM TO ADEQUATELY CLEAR THE WINDSHIELD COULD LEAD TO A REDUCTION IN VISIBILITY DURING CRITICAL PERIODS WHEN SURFACE WIPED IS REDUCED AND COULD POTENTIALLY RESULT IN A CRASH.
CERTAIN MOTOR HOMES FAIL TO CONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 104, “WINDSHIELD WIPING AND WASHING SYSTEMS.” THE WINDSHIELD WIPER SYSTEM MANUFACTURED BY AM EQUIPMENT AND INSTALLED ON THESE MOTOR HOMES WAS DETERMINED NOT TO MEET THE MINIMUM PERCENT OF AREA TO BE WIPED WHILE THE MOTOR HOME IS DRIVEN AT SPEEDS OF 55 MPH OR MORE.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
