What’s wrong with it?
THE WHEEL COULD SEPARATE FROM THE VEHICLE, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH. ALL WHEELS ARE MARKED ON THE INBOARD FLANGE WITH PRODUCTION DATES. THE WHEELS MARKED 7/13/00, 7/14/00, 12/7/00, 12/8/00, OR 12/9/00, ARE SUBJECT TO THIS RECALL.
ON CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES WITH BUMPER NUMBERS BETWEEN 00-760 TO 00-982 AND WITH BUMPER NUMBERS 01-228 TO 01-269, IMPROPER HEAT-TREATMENT OF THE WHEELS HAS OCCURRED.
ONE OR MORE OF THE SPOKES ON THE WHEELS COULD CRACK.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
