What’s wrong with it?
THIS COULD DISABLE THE ANTI-LOCK FUNCTION ON THE AFFECTED WHEEL WITHOUT PROVIDING THE REQUIRED OPERATOR WARNING THAT THE ABS FUNCTION REQUIRES SERVICING.
VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: MOTOR HOMES EQUIPPED WITH MERITOR WABCO PHASE 1, D-VERSION ANTILOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS), FAIL TO COMPLY TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF FMVSS NO. 105, “HYDRAULIC AND ELECTRIC BRAKE SYSTEMS.” AN INTERNAL DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM IN THE ABS MAY NOT DETECT AN EXTREME WHEEL SPEED SENSOR AIR GAP.
SUCH A CONDITION COULD POSSIBLY OCCUR DURING (1) ORIGINAL ASSEMBLY OR (2) SUBSEQUENT WHEEL END SERVICE.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
