What’s wrong with it?

The safety warning label containing precautionary information on proper use and operation was not affixed to the device. The safety warning label should read: “CAUTION: This is not a lifesaving device. Never leave children unattended in or near water”

What should you do?

Consumers will receive an attachable label from NRS or LL Bean. Consumers should immediately affix the label to the device as directed.

  • How to reach the firm: For more information or a copy of the warning label, consumers should call NRS at (800) 635-5202 between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. PT Monday through Friday, or visit the firm’s Web site at nrsweb.com. Consumers with the LL Bean device should call LL Bean at (800) 555-9717 anytime, or visit LL Bean’s Web site at llbean.com.

Which ones are recalled?

This recall involves the NRS Manta Surfer River Board also sold as LL Bean Body Board. The Surfer Board is black, red and blue with the NRS logo printed on the top front of the board. The LL Bean Body Board is black, yellow and blue with the LL Bean logo printed on the top front. The boards measure 41 inches long by 24 inches wide. Item numbers 1869 (NRS) and 41869 (LL Bean) are printed on the tag sewn into the bottom seam, near the inflation valve.

About 700 units, as CPSC gives them.
