In addition, the model X bicycles do not have protective chain guards, posing crash and laceration hazards. CPSC urges consumers to stop using these bicycles immediately and dispose of them. Do not sell or give away these hazardous bicycles. CPSC issued a Notice of Violation to the manufacturer, Veco Electric Bicycle Inc., doing business as CARBO Electric Bike, of Canada. CARBO Electric Bike has not agreed to offer an acceptable remedy to consumers. The folding electric bicycles, models X and S, were sold in black with multiple motor and battery power options. The bicycles have “CARBO” printed on the frame post and “CARBO ELECTRIC BIKE” printed on a label located on the seat post.
