What kind of school is it, and who does it serve?

  • A public special education school for grade pre-K.
  • Open in NCES’s 2025-26 directory, which is still preliminary.
  • Students were enrolled in 2023-24, as the CRDC records it, in a gifted and talented program.
  • In 2024-25, 42% of students were eligible for free or reduced-price lunch, 169 of the 404 enrolled on October 1: 137 for free lunch and 32 for reduced-price.
  • NCES counts 133 students directly certified for free meals in 2024-25, without an application, through their families’ part in programs such as SNAP.
  • It serves every student free meals under the Community Eligibility Provision, which takes no applications, so states count eligibility at such schools in different ways.
  • Around the school, a family with children aged 5 to 17 has an income of about 294% of the federal poverty threshold for its size (100% is at the threshold), by NCES’s 2021-22 estimate from the Census Bureau’s American Community Survey of 2018-2022; its standard error is 63 points.
  • That describes the school’s neighbourhood, which NCES says may differ from the neighbourhoods its students live in.
  • Grade pre-K.

Who runs it?

  • Run by Osseo Public School District, its local education agency in NCES’s directory.
  • District spending, fiscal year 2024: Osseo Public School District spent $17,497 per student, by the Census Bureau’s count of the district’s spending and its 20,776 students, of which $11,347 went on instruction and $5,368 on support services such as administration, buildings and transport.
  • That is the district’s figure across all its schools, not this school’s own: its day-to-day spending on salaries, benefits, services and supplies, not on construction, equipment, debt or payments to other school systems.

Has anything been proven against it?

  • Federal school data don’t record findings against a school: the counts here are what the school reported, and the Office for Civil Rights’ own investigations aren’t included.

What the record doesn’t say

  • Federal school data arrive one to three years after the school year they describe, so each figure here carries its own year.
  • The Civil Rights Data Collection is gathered every two years and published about two years later: its 2023-24 figures came out in August 2026.
  • To protect students’ privacy, the Office for Civil Rights adds or takes away one at random from counts of students, and ED does the same for chronic absence counts of four or fewer, so a small count may be one off.
  • Where the public file shows code −10, “Suppressed in compliance with Executive Order” 14168, figures are withheld: students reported as nonbinary, and harassment allegations based on gender identity, are left out of the counts here.
  • The 2021-22 collection didn’t include teacher experience, so there’s no earlier figure to compare it with.
  • ED publishes each school’s test results in reading and language arts and in mathematics, but they aren’t loaded here yet.
  • Some of this school’s 2023-24 figures are blank in the CRDC’s public file; each one says why.
