The short answer
Record last released by Delaware Office of Child Care Licensing on Oct 23, 2026.
Each figure’s source sits beside it, in its section below.
What these words mean4
- Inspection (survey)
- A visit by state inspectors, often unannounced, who check a place against the rules it must meet. For nursing homes and other places Medicare pays, CMS calls these visits surveys: a standard survey of a nursing home comes at least every 15 months, and a complaint survey whenever a complaint calls for one. Source: CMS; 42 CFR 488.308.
- Deficiency, citation, violation
- What inspectors write up when a place didn’t meet a rule: the rule, what they saw, and when. CMS calls it a deficiency; states may say citation or violation. It is the inspectors’ finding, not a court’s, and the place is usually asked for a plan to correct it. Source: CMS, statement of deficiencies (Form CMS-2567); each state’s licensing agency.
- Licence status
- Whether the state’s licence lets the place operate now, in the state’s own words: licensed, on probation (allowed to keep operating on conditions, after problems), provisional, pending or expired. Source: Each state’s licensing agency.
- Capacity
- The most people the licence or certification lets the place care for at once: residents, children, beds or apartments, as the state counts them. It isn’t how many are there now. Source: Each state’s licensing agency.

| Date | What | Detail |
|---|---|---|
| Jun 24, 2026 | OCCL Standards Complaint: No Evidence to Substantiate | The Office of Child Care Licensing (OCCL) received a complaint on May 12, 2026, regarding concerns of lack of supervision, improper staff-to-child ratios, staff cell phone usage while caring for children, insufficient meals, and improper sanitation practices. On May 20, 2026 Licensing Specialist (LS) #1 conducted an unannounced investigation. During the investigation, LS #1 conducted a walkthrough of the facility, observed classroom operations, and interviewed Administrator #1, Administrator #2, and five staff members. There is no evidence to substantiate concerns regarding lack of supervision or staff-to-child ratios. LS #1 observed classrooms operating within ratio requirements and observed qualified staff members providing supervision to children. All staff interviewed denied any ratio concerns. There is no evidence to substantiate concerns regarding staff cell phone usage. LS #1 did not observe staff members using personal cell phones while responsible for caring for children during the investigation, and staff members interviewed stated personal cell phone usage is not permitted during work hours. There is no evidence to substantiate concerns regarding meals or water availability. LS #1 observed water, cups, and food supplies readily available, and staff members interviewed stated children receive required meals and snacks and denied ever being short on required supplies. There is no evidence to substantiate concerns regarding sanitation practices. LS #1 observed classrooms and bathrooms stocked with necessary supplies and observed bathrooms to be clean and maintained at the time of the investigation. Staff members interviewed stated additional supplies are available and are restocked as needed. |
| Feb 13, 2025 | OCCL Standards Complaint: No Evidence to Substantiate | The Office of Child Care Licensing (OCCL) received a complaint on January 10, 2025, regarding concerns of not using proper cleaning and sanitation. An investigation was conducted on January 24, 2025. There is no evidence to substantiate this complaint for not using proper cleaning and sanitation based on observations and interviews conducted. Upon observations, the facility is using and following proper cleaning and sanitation procedures. All staff interviewed stated the proper cleaning and sanitation protocols are being followed and families are notified of contagious illnesses in the facility. |
| Aug 7, 2024 | OCCL Standards Complaint: No Evidence to Substantiate | The Office of Child Care Licensing (OCCL) received a complaint on June 27, 2024, regarding not using respectful communication with parents, not providing contact information for the owner, and for concerns of lack of supervision. An investigation was conducted on July 3, 2024. There is no evidence to substantiate this complaint for not providing contact information for the owner because Parent #1 requested to speak with the owner at the end of the day on June 21, 2024, a Friday, and was immediately connected to the Regional Director, who spoke with Parent #1 that evening. Administrator #1 stated they felt the issue was resolved on Monday, June 24, 2024, and the owner contacted Parent #1 on June 25, 2024. There is no evidence to substantiate this complaint for lack of supervision because while Child #1 received multiple accident/injury reports during their enrollment period, the staff interviewed noted multiple preventative measures that were taken to reduce the number of injuries children received. This included adding additional staff into the classroom to ensure additional supervision is provided and receiving observations and mentoring from Early Childhood Mental Health. There is no evidence to substantiate this complaint for lack of respectful communication with parents. Administrator #1, Owner #1, and the Regional Director all stated they were respectful when speaking with the parents regarding the injuries and center policies. |

What the record doesn’t say
- Delaware doesn’t grade violations by severity, so read what was cited.
- Delaware’s open data lists a visit only when a violation was cited there, so visits that found nothing aren’t shown.
- Delaware publishes five years of reviews and complaints; this page shows the last three.
- Delaware doesn’t publish staffing levels or owners for individual providers.
- Delaware lists only the visits that found violations, so a provider with none listed may not have been visited at all: no count of violations is used to headline, filter or compare its providers.
